“Master, please wake up.” He choked on the blood that he knew must be filling up in his punctured lung as it dribble from the corner of his mouth. He knew his master needed to feed but he was running low on the red liquid from the stab wound on his chest. Raising his wrist, he slash it with the knife he was holding in the other hand. Quickly not to waste anymore spilling liquid he bought it to his master’s slack mouth. He hoped his master will take the offering even though unconscious. This will most likely be his last offering. Eyes fluttering close as his heart struggle to pump the thinning liquid running through his veins.

“Miss, Miss, I lost my Hee-chan and can’t find him.” Sniff.
The lady at the lost and found counter looked up from the computer but saw no one. Standing up she peer over the counter and looked down and saw a little boy around 4 or 5 with a chestnut braid rubbing the back of his hand over his little nose. Tears were brimming at the corner of his lovely violet eyes.
“Now there don’t cry, tell me what’s wrong and we’ll make it all better.” Laura came out from the counter and kneel down to comfort the little boy.
“Waaaaa I lost my Hee-chan.” The little boy wailed.
“There there, now have a sweet and tell Laura where and how you lost your Hee-chan. Will look for him together no?”
‘sniffle’ “Really?” teary violet eyes looked at Laura.
“Yes, dear, now tell Laura, What’s your name?”
‘Sniffle’ “Mommy say not to talk to strangers.”
“but if you don’t tell me your name we won’t be able to find back your Hee-chan”
“Duo, and I want back my Hee-chan. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa” the little boy broke into tears again.
“Duo, Don’t cry. Why not you tell me how Hee-chan looks like and we’ll go look for him.”
“Hee-chan has brown hair and blue eyes.” Was the reply.
“Duo, where’s your mommy? Or did you came to the store with daddy?”
“Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, mommy where are you?” little Duo wailed suddenly reminded that his mommy is missing too.
“Duo, why don’t we go to the information counter to call for your mommy. Ok?” Laura smiled at the little boy.
“But we still not find Hee-chan.” Don’t want to leave Hee-chan. Must find Hee-chan.” Duo stubbornly pull back as Laura tried to lead the little boy to the information counter.
“Why not after we find your Mommy, then we go find your Hee-chan. Don’t you miss your mommy?”
“But I miss Hee-chan too. We can’t leave him.”
“We will find Hee-chan after we find your mommy. Your mommy must be worry sick by now.”
“kay”
So Laura took little Duo’s hand and lead the little boy to the information counter to call for his mother.

“Duo, is Hee-chan your favourite teddy bear?”
Duo looked up at the nice lady confused. “No, Hee-chan is my bestest friend.
“oh.. well how did you loose him then?”
“I was looking at some cars, they were pretty and fast. I want Hee-chan to see them too but he was no longer holding my hand anymore.”
“Maybe you dropped Hee-chan when looking at the cars?”
“But Hee-chan was just right beside me.”
“Aa, here we are, let me just get the announcer to call for your mommy”
Laura asked the announcer to make the call.

‘ding, ding, ding’
“Your attention please shoppers, will the mother of little Duo please come to the information counter on the ground floor. Your son is here.”
The announcement was repeated two more times. Meanwhile, Laura brought Duo to the side and sat him down on a chair while waiting. a few minutes later, A woman carrying another toddler , was seen rushing towards the information counter. She had chestnut hair like Duo. As the woman came closer, Duo jump to the floor and rush toward the woman.
“Mommy, Hee-chan.” Duo gomp the little boy with brown hair which, the woman had to put down when he continue to wriggle free as soon as he saw Duo running towards them.

“Duo. Where did you go? You had mommy so worried?” the woman hugged the two little boys tightly.
“I was looking at cars mommy.”
“This is the third time this month Duo, if you keep running off on your own every time we go out, I’ll have to leave you with your sitter and no more outings for you anymore.”
“But mommy, i just wanted to show Hee-chan pretty cars.” Duo pouted.
The other little boy giggled. “Naughty Duo.”
“Madam, you are Duo’s mother?”
“Yes, Thank you so much for taking care of him. He can be a handful at times. Thank god you found him. I’ve been looking everywhere for him.
“Glad to be of service Mrs. ?”
“Maxwell. Helen Maxwell. And you are?”
“Laura Collins. Well Mrs Maxwell, I think you still have some looking to do cos Duo would barely leave without his toy.”
“Toy? What toy? Duo did you bring your toys with you again?”
“Nop. No toy mommy. Duo is good boy mommy.”
“Then what about your Hee-chan.” Laura asked surprised that the boy had forgotten about his beloved toy so fast.”
“Hee-chan here.” Duo show Laura the other little boy he was hugging tightly.
“Oh… I.. I must have misunderstood. The way you talk about Hee-chan, I thought he was your teddy bear of something.” Laura blushed.
“ Oh Ms Collins. You are not the first person to say that. No matter how I teach Duo, He keeps thinking little Heero as his. Heero is our neighbor’s son and a playmate to Duo.”
“You are possessive of your friend aren’t you Duo. Anyway since you found mommy and Hee-chan. I should be getting back to work. So goodbye Duo, and be a good boy. Don’t get lost again”
“Po..ssive?”
“Thank you once again for all your help. Ms Collins.”
“Your welcome. Mrs Maxwell.”
“Bye, bye Ms Laura.”

This is supposedly to be set after WWL or at lease after the secret is out. But this will leak out some untold storyline the remaining chapters of WWL. These are short drabbles and can stand on their own. So not necessary to read WWL.

Strawberry Surprise

A mixing bowl was floating off the counter with its contents of flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt, being mixed evenly together. There was no one manning the mixing spoon or the bowl. It was just floating there and the spoon stirring the contents by it self. Off the side, the oven was being set the right temperature for pre heating by a slim teenager with messy brown hair.

Another boy with long chestnut hair plaited into a long braid going pass the ass was measuring vanilla extract to be poured into another mixing bowl already filled with cream, sugar and grated lemon zest. He then proceed to mix the ingredients with the mixer into soft fluff.

After setting the oven, the brown haired boy took the floating mixing bowl and poured the mixture in to a square pan to be baked.

“ Duo, Could you check on the strawberries in the fridge”

“Yea, sure thing Heero.” The boy moved from the counter and headed to the fridge and poke his head in to check on the said fruit.

After a while when Duo’s head did not reemerge, Heero called out.

“Duo what are you doing in there.”

Duo straighten up but he had his fingers in his mouth and the other arm holding the bowl of syrup-ed strawberries.

“ Duo those are for the cake. Don’t go eating them up now. We’ll have none left when your done.”

“Well you know Heero, I love my strawberry. I really do. But I love them best serve with whip cream on top of my Heero.” With that said Duo pounced.

Strawberry Shortcake recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds strawberries, stemmed and quartered
5 tablespoons sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons bakingpowder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
Whipped Cream, recipe follows

Directions

Mix strawberries with 3 tablespoons sugar and refrigerate while juices develop, at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F

Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, remaining 2 tablespoons sugar, and salt in a medium bowl. Add heavy cream and mix until just combined. Place mixture in an ungreased 8-inch square pan and bake until golden, 18 to 20 minutes.

Remove shortcake from pan and place on a rack to cool slightly. Cut into 6 pieces and split each piece in half horizontally.

Spoon some of the strawberries with their juice onto each shortcake bottom. Top with a generous dollop of whipped cream and then the shortcake top. Spoon more strawberries over the top and serve.

Whipped Cream:

1 1/2 cups heavy cream, chilled
3 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest

Using a mixer, beat the heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, and lemon zest until soft peaks form, about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes

it’s been sometime since I wrote anything.this just came out of nowhere. So it’s not beta. Please forgive me for any mistakes.

Duo touched the tag to feel the Braille on it. “Blue”. It trigger a memory to a time where he would always be laugh at for badly mismatch colour for his clothing because of the mistakes in tagging or when he didn’t even have the tags and had to remember which colour clothes was placed where. It was during one of his walks in the park and he was harassed by some teenagers for his terrible colour combination clothes. He had just wanted to quietly walk away from them when one of the boys snatched his cane.

“Please let me have my cane back” Duo pleads.

“Over here, come and get it if you can you blind man.” the boys taunt.

Duo tried to get close to the boys to get his can back but they were running around and pushing him around that he had lost all sense of direction.

“Hey, stop that at once”

The boys tossed the cane to the ground and took off as they saw someone coming over to help. Duo dropped down and started feeling around for his cane when a gentle hand helped him up and handed it to him. “Here” the hands placed his cane into the palm of his hand.

“Do you live nearby? I can help you get back. I’m afraid those boys will bother you again” a kind sounding voice spoke to him.

“I wouldn’t want to bother you but if you could just point me to the right direction. I kind of lost my sense of direction when those boys pushed me around. I can manage.”

“No, it’s no bother. I’m Heero by the way.”

“Duo. Duo Maxwell.”

“Well it’s nice to meet your acquaintance Duo. May I call you Duo?”

“Yes, yes of course, …Hee…ro?”

And that was the beginning of a beautiful friendship that became more. Duo learned that Heero was uprising artist. His art was starting to get recognition in galleries and yet Heero was care free, kind and the most down to earth person Duo had ever meet, famous or not.

Heero would be by his side and describing the world to him, as they went out together. He would describe his art, the colours and everything around them to Duo. Duo began to live and see the world through Heero’s eyes. But as Heero became more famous and attended gallery openings, a rift wedges itself in between them. During the openings he would always hear whispers of people talking of him behind his back. Of how He was pulling back Heero’s career and having the burden of taking care of a crippled person. He tried to ignore it, and Heero has many times assured him that he was never a burden.

The thorn was there and it made Duo unreasonable at times which cause them to argue and fight over petty things. The insecurities is only heavily enforced when Heero’s representative Relena hinted to him that they have something going on behind Duo’s back.

Duo began blaming anything and everything that went wrong in his life on Heero. He would start throwing things around, cursing god and how unfair that he was born blind. He remembered once when Heero asked him was there anything that which would make him happy again. Duo spat out venomously, that since Heero was a perfect human, he would not know what it’s like to be blind his whole life. To be taunted and ridicule by people for a disability he had no control over. The only thing that would make him happy would be to be no longer blind.

Duo looked and stared at the mirror. His wish for sight has been granted, but he lost something valuable in exchange. He had always wondered who’s blue eyes were looking at him now. Whose sacrifice gifted him the wonderful gift of sight he is enjoying now. He had asked the doctor, who was the donor; he had wanted to thank the family who allowed the organ donation of the person they loved. The doctor told him that the information was confidential. He only told Duo that the donor was in an accident and couldn’t be saved. The donor had signed an organ donor’s card and he was the luck recipient.

Duo had often thought of Heero, now that he was no longer blind, would Heero come back to him. It broke his heart when Heero broke up with him 6 months ago not long after their big fight. Heero’s reasoning was that he couldn’t take it anymore; he couldn’t take the stress, the arguments and responsibility of taking care for a blind Duo any longer. He had someone better and didn’t want to be burden by Duo anymore. Heero just packed and left one day. Just 2 weeks after that a donor emerged and Duo had undergone the transplant operation and was on his road to recovery. Only Trowa and Quatre, Duo’s long time friend was there to support Duo all the way. The one Duo wanted the most to be there for him has left him.

It took 2 months of therapy and gradual adjustment to adapt to his new eyes. At last he could see the world after so many years in darkness. Although he could now see colours and light but is as though Heero took all these along with him when he walk out on Duo. Life now seems dull compared to when he had Heero by his side to describe the world to him. Heero’s words always let him see the world in his mind.

He tried contacting Heero but his number was no longer in service. He didn’t know where Heero moved to since he left. He didn’t want to call Relena and when he called Wufei, Heero’s best friend, Wufei slam the phone on him. He knew he couldn’t blame Wufei but he really didn’t have any other options. He called so many times that after a few refusals, the line was even disconnected. He now truly have no way of finding Heero.

He couldn’t put up and advertisement to look for Heero since he have no picture of him. Since Duo refuse to take pictures since he couldn’t see them, Heero didn’t want to take any since Duo didn’t take them with him. All Duo had left of Heero was all the art his lover left behind. Although He did not allow Heero to take his picture, he did allow Heero to draw him in his art. Those were only for Heero’s personal collection. These art were the only things he still had of his lover. That and the imaginary image pictured in his mind when he used his hand to feel the contours of Heero’s face and the description provide by Heero.

One day Duo saw a pair of young men on the opposite side of a traffic crossing while on his way to the grocer. Both looked Asian with sharp features. One had black shoulder length hair pulled back in a short pony-tail and black onyx eyes. He was guiding the other young man who had brown messy hair. He couldn’t see the eyes as they were behind a pair of dark shades. This person is also holding a red and white retractable cane. It was obvious that this person could not see. Looking on this pair reminded Duo of his own past with Heero, How they were when they went out. The person in fact reminded Duo of Heero’s image in his mind. He had always imagined Heero to look somewhat like this young man, only without the shades and with sparking blue eyes.

The blind young man looked a bit pale, and was leaning slightly on the black haired man. The light turned green, and they began crossing the road. People were in a rush to cross the as the light started to blink. As he passed the pair, he heard a name that made him froze.

“…….how can …. adjust Heero…….not easy…..learning ….”

He turn around and wanted to ask those strangers but a loud horn from the car he was standing in front of to get him out of the middle of the road. He tried crossing back the road but the traffic was moving again and he had to wait. The throng of people swallowed up the pair and they were gone from Duo’s sight. When the crossing light turn green once again, Duo all but ran across the road to look for the pair, but they were nowhere in sight.

“That couldn’t have been Heero could it?”

Well the internet is finally up but its not very stable. It still disconnects constantly / low speeds.(sigh)

I might have to look to other service provider. (the current is wireless but with my location weather unpredictable its also bad for the connection.)

Well on the bright side in 3 more days, will be off for the CNY holidays. I'm already in the holiday mood. Work is draging on. Must keep the requisitions as low as possible.

Hence while God has his seven Virtue, The Devil has his seven Sins. Both Sins and Virtues are the hands of God and the Devil out in the world gathering souls for their master. Even the human working class has time off, same goes for the Sins and Virtues. During this time they are allowed to indulge in their own activities. This story begins at one of their off time:-

7 Deadly Sins vs 7 Heavenly Virtues

“Damn it Duo, I want you NOW.” A desk at the corner of the room suddenly blew up into pieces.

“Hold your horses Hee-chan. I’ll be there in a minute.” With that said, in the blink of an eye Duo was positioned in between Heero’s legs, arousal standing proud at the plucker entrance. In one smooth motion, Duo slam into the tight heat and started pounding.

“Argh…. Duo..ooooo” sound of sweaty heated skin slapping against one another was heard.

Dressing: Black body fitting top, high collar V-neck, scythe choker, silver cross earring dangling from left ear, black low riding leather pants with double belts, silver intricate design armlet encasing a deep blue gem on right upper arm, black combat boots and a set of fingerless gloves. (but currently butt naked)

Powers: Ignite and empower humans rage and anger to an uncontrollable wrath which will consume their entire being till their death

“ARGH……NOT YOU AGAIN” Heero groaned. “Come on Duo, We’re getting out of here” Grabbing Duo’s hand and a snap of his fingers A loud ‘BOOM’ and a cloud of smoke screen the two figures are gone.

“HEEROOOOOOOOOOO……” the Virtue wailed.

Far far away on a remote and deserted island, the two devil’s acolyte reappeared in a very awkward position where one braided chestnut was furiously lifting his short hair lover up and down on his engorged and aroused sex. The short-haired acolyte had his legs wrapped around the braided one’s waist and arms around his neck. Once feet touch the ground, Duo maneuvered Heero position to on fours while stilled joined and thrusting with lightning speed. Reaching for Heero’s neglected sex, Duo stroke and pump Heero in time with his thrust to bring them both to completion.

“Ngnnn…Ahhh…..Duooooo……….” Was all Heero managed when he reach his peak.

Exhausted Heero could no longer hold himself up on four, balked and slumped to the soft covered ground. “Relena, you do notice that Heero is also a Sin, don’t you. He is Wrath for Gods sake.”

“He’s just fallen to that….that…”

Chapter 8- Halloween

After the first date life went on as usual, they still hang out together with Quatre, Trowa and Wufei. Going to school, classes, basketball games and burger joints. Heero had planed to ask Duo out for Halloween date but his plans had to be put on hold as his parents called him for dinner, which he could not miss. It was a family reunion for Halloween with his Aunt Keira and it was in Paris where his dad Odin was currently working at the embassy as a translator. Mum had stressed that he must be present. So after school on Friday, Heero bid his friends goodbye and headed off home to prepare for his weekend trip.

Taking a quick shower and a change of clothes Heero was ready in 15 minutes to head off to his disastrous weekend with his parents and Aunt Keira. His aunt tends to introduce girls, guys, witches, warlocks, ghouls, trolls, even pixies to him. Her notion was that Heero need someone in his life thus has taken up upon herself to introduce that someone to him since if it depended on Heero it will never happen. Heero smiled at the notion. He did meet someone and prove that his Aunt is wrong about him. Actually it was Duo who made the move but it was just technicality. He will have to make it up to Duo when he comes back.

Opening the door to the closet, he step in and there was a crash of thunder and lightning when the door closed. Heero arrived at his Dad’s Paris apartment closet. He could see mountains of linens, towels, boxes and coats and jackets. Opening the door and stepping out to greet the disastrous reunion and prepare for an evening fighting off pursuers his well-meaning aunt set on him. These are even going to be harder to ditch than Relena. They’ll be able to track and teleport after him. There was this one witch so persistent that she went after him around the world twice, went to Pluto and back, detoured by the Big Dipper, went into an asteroid field and meteor shower, he even tried to dump her in the sun but she stuck to his tail like glue. In the end he tried to be frank with her and be right out mean, and say nasty things to her, still she was head over heels for him, which he does not understand. Most people find his attitude unbearable and him demure, cold and aloft. He just hoped that this years nominees aren’t so persistent and will take no for an answer.

“Heero, you’ve arrive. I thought you ran away again and I’ll have to send Cerberus to track you again. ” Aunt Kiera appear right next to him making him nearly jumping out of his skin.

It’s not that funny cos there was tis one time she really did gave him a heart attack that he was Spirited Away by a passing Shinigami. His parents literally had to go through the 7 levels of hell to reclaim his spirit. That was when he was 5 years old. And he never ever wish for that to happen ever again. Involuntary out of body experience leaves you totally disoriented and unable to get a grasp on reality for weeks. Since his spirit was rip out forcefully, it just won’t stick to the body any longer. Normal astral projection, there is still a link between the spirit and physical body. When the Shinigami rip his spirit out the link was not formed, his father had to perform binding ritual to reconnect his body and soul.

“Hello, aunt Kiera.”

“Glad you’re here. Now come on, I’ve invited lots of handsome eligible bachelors and attractive single ladies who are just dying to meet your acquaintance.” She put her hand on Heero’s shoulder and guide Heero to the dining hall.

Heero hid a groan but walked to meet this fate for the night.

~Duo’s Room~

Duo was staring at the ceiling and he was bored. His plans for the weekend was ruined due to the dinner Heero suddenly had to attend. He himself put off his own Uncle Howard dinner plans just to be able to spend some time with Heero on Halloween. His Uncle had wanted to bring him to meet some nephew of a friend of his. No need for that now since he has Heero. But now he has to spend it alone cos Heero’s not here with him. He pouted.

They were going to call for Pizza delivery and watch scary movies at Heero’s. Heero even had readied the bowl of treats for tricker treaters. Now he is popping those treats into his own mouth.

~Odin’s Lounge~

“…. this is Edmund, Edward, Elene, Elise, Ewena, Fiona, Felicia, Francesca, Frank, …….. Madeline, Matt, Mathew, Michael, Morgan, Neil, Natalie, ……………… Stanley, Stella, Sylvia, Talia, Terrence, Trish, Ursula, ………… Zack, and last but not least Zoë.”

Heero’s hand was numb from shaking all those hands. The looks on those faces gave him the impression that they were very hungry and he was the main course. He could barely remember the faces and the names. Here was his aunt reciting all those peoples name, introducing them to him.

“Here, here, time for dinner everyone. Please proceed to the dining hall and take your seats.” Aunt Kiera announcement broke through Heero’s thoughts.

Suddenly everyone was rushing to the dining hall to get their seats. As Heero passed by them, they were calling out to his for him to join them. Heero politely decline each and every one of them to join his parents and aunt at the head of the table. Dinner continued with his aunt pointing out characteristics and pointers on which candidate she thinks will be appealing to Heero. As she drone on and on and on. Heero’s mind wonder back to what he would have been doing if he went on his date with Duo instead of coming here. He sighs to himself wishing he was with Duo. At lease it would have been fun and not boring listening to his aunt drone or feeling like a piece of meat.

They were about to have dessert when the bickering at the middle of the table broke out into duel. Two groups of witches and warlocks were throwing spells, curses and china at each other. The hall was erupting with sparks and smoke. At first others were trying to break up the fight, but getting hit by stray spells one too many times, those people began to join in the fight too. All too soon, the floor were littered with unlucky people hit with stun spells, transfiguration spells, and a variety of curses.

Heero had took the opportunity to flee unnoticed during the commotion. Arriving home Heero dropped on to the sofa tired from the nights events. Eyes closed to rest, he was surprised when someone came up from behind and covered his eyes with their hands.

“Guess who?” someone whispered to his ear.

Chapter 3

“Help, someone help me please.” Odin was working in the fields when he heard someone cry for help.

Setting down the hoe he was using, he followed the sound of the voice until he came to a ditch. Inside was a boy around Heero’s age, and he was shouting for help.

“Oh thank god you found me sir. I sprained my ankle when I fell into this trap.” The boy tried to stand up on his injured leg but fell back down in a heap with a yelp.

The boy looked unusual but he was really injured. He had long chestnut hair braided down to the small of his back, a heart shape face and violet shade eyes. Odin could not stand there and just watch without helping the boy but he was cautious that this was a trick. It really looked like the boy needs help, besides he did not think the Shinigami Cult would have such young worshipers.

“Hold on there, I get you out in no time.” Odin hollers. He then ran back to his cottage and gather some rope.

Tying one end of the rope to a tree as an anchor, Odin clamber into the ditch. It was 8 feet deep. Securing the boy to his back, Odin scale back up the ditch.

“Hey thanks mister. I thought I was surely going to die down there.” The boy gratefully thanks his savior.

“What were you doing running around here boy, its dangerous. Where is your home? I’ll find someone to send you home.”

“I…I don’t have a home. I’m an orphan.”

“Then where do you live?”

“Where ever my legs take me.” Came the sad reply.

“I’m not exactly free to take you in. My son is sick and I don’t have room for you. I’ll just find some one to send you to the town doctor. You can stay there until you recover.”

“Please sir. Let me stay. I’ll work for you. You don’t even have to give me a bed. Just provide me two meals a day and shelter over my head.” The boy pleaded clutching to Odin tightly.

Odin felt oddly compelled to help the injured boy. He knew that it was not safe to house another person in their cottage with their status. Heero is still being hunted by the Cult. It this boy could lead those hunters right to their doorstep. And yet he could not resist the urge to allow the boy to stay. Giving in he agreed to allow the boy to stay but he would have to keep a close eye on the boy. Something was not right with the boy and yet Odin could not grasp on to the idea that the boy was evil. Odin carried the boy back to his cottage missing the grin and the glint in the boy’s abnormal shade of violet eyes.

After bandaging the boy’s sprain ankle, Odin gave the boy some soup. He then went to the room to check up on Heero, his son was still slumbering, and the hell spawn was awake and flinging his arms and legs seeking a mothers touch like a normal baby. Begrudgingly Odin picked up the bottle of milk and bed the hell spawn, taking a careful look at the child, he could see the striking resemblance of his features to Heero. From the dark brown fine hair, to the slant eyes Heero inherited from his exotic mother Shizuka, Odin’s wife. He was going to have to give a name to the child, they can’t possibly keep calling him hell spawn. The child was starting to grow on him, Heero’s words were making sense now. The child was innocent, the way he was bought into the world may not have been right, but the child had no control of who his father was nor could he chose his own mother. Heero was ill fated because of the prophecy, but there was a prophecy regarding the child also, he would bring Death upon the World.

“NO. My grandson is not evil. He will be brought up with care, love and taught of good and evil. Shinigami will not use my grandson for his evil deeds.” Odin determined. He was going to keep his family safe. He was unaware of how his perception on his grandson has changed.

The baby pushing the empty bottle away broke Odin from his thought. Settling the baby on his lap and against his left arm, Odin proceeds to burp the baby. After the baby burped Odin settle him next to Heero. The baby quickly fell asleep beside his parent. Odin then went back out to check on the boy, stopping by his own room to gather some blankets and a pillow for him.

“Boy, what is your name? Here these are for you” Odin asked as he handed the blankets to the boy.

“Duo, sir. Thank you for letting me stay. I work for my lodgings and meals. I won’t be a bother. You won’t even know I here. I keep out of your way.” The boy thanked Odin gratefully.

“Duo, I’m laying down some rules while you are here. You are not supposed to wandered in to the last bedroom no matter what sounds you hear from there. You can sleep here, I’ll get you some straw for beddings later. At the moment your leg won’t allow you to walk around too much, you just need to keep the place clean for me and cook the meals. You do know how to cook?”

“Mmm.… not really but I’ll learn and I can do all other house work. I can even farm. Please don’t kick me out, sir.”

“Duo, I’m not going to kick you out just because you don’t know how to cook. It’s ok. I just teach you. Now wait here while I go out to get the straw for your bed.”

Odin turned and went out to gather the bedding materials for the boy. The boy just stood there staring at his back until it was out of sight. The minute Odin was gone Duo went straight to the back room and entered it. His stride was confident and strong for a person with a supposedly sprained ankle.

“Hikari”

The slumbering baby snaps open at the sound of his name. Little arms and legs starts to flailing around for the attention of his parent. Duo picked up the baby with care and places a kiss on his forehead. The baby coo and giggle at the attention. He managed to catch the finger caressing his cheek and swiftly gumming it, sucking at the finger with all its worth.

“Papa” Hikari thought out to his father.

“I’m here. How is your mama today?”

“He hasn’t woke up at all.” The baby’s eyes starts to brim with tears and his cooing voice starts to hiccup as he starts to cry.

“Hush now, your mama will be fine. I will not allow anything to happen to him. I will not let anything hurt my mate and child. The old man should be coming back anytime now. I need to be back outside.”

“Papa.”

Duo places a kiss on the small cheek then set Hikari back beside his other parent. He then brushes the hair from his sleeping mate and kisses the forehead. Straitening up he then left the room and headed back out the room.

Chapter 1

One would assume that the hooded figure on the throne was a doll. Not the slightest movement could be detected it was so quiet that it was eerie. The hooded figure was covered from head to toe only leaving the hands visible on the hand rest of the black marble throne. The face was covered with the overly large hood of the robe leaving a black void. The fingernails were painted black and claw like.

“My son, where are you now?”

“Papa?”

“Yes, my child. Where are you now? Are you safe?”

“Yes, papa. I’m next to mama now. Grandpa tried to stab me just now.”

“WHAT? How dare that old man.”

“Don’t worry papa, he didn’t hurt me. Mama tried to protect me but he is not well. Come for us, papa. ”

“Wait for me my son, we will be reunited soon.”

Then hooded figure became blurry and then disappear from the throne. Thousands of miles away the hooded figure reappeared in front of a small cottage. Striding forward, he wave his out stretch arm and the door of the cottage sweep open on its own. With another wave of the arm a blue light sweep over the cottage. Soundlessly the figure entered the cottage and head straight to the back room. In the room there was a small light provided by a dieing candle. On the bed slept a pale figure of a young boy with a small newborn baby cuddling next to him. By the bedside sat a man who hunched over the bed in an uncomfortable manner sound asleep. He would not wake. The spell that was cast made sure of it.

Stepping up to the bed, the hooded figure took in the sight of his sleeping family. His mate was pale with blood lost and breathing in shallowly. While the newborn baby clutch to the nightshirt his parent wore with his tiny fingers. Raising his hand, the hooded figure cares the cheek of the sleeping baby whose eyes suddenly snap open. Violet orbs stare at the figure, then giggle and coo. Releasing the nightshirt it was clutching, the baby raises its two tiny arm towards the figure. Picking up the baby carefully the hooded figure coo and play with the baby.

“My son”

“Papa you came.”

“Of course.”

“ I want to go home.”

“We will, but not until your mama is better. Your birth was not easy on mama. He must recuperate before we are ready for travel. We will stay here until he does.”

“You are leaving us here?” the baby’s eyes were beginning to brim with tears.

“Of course not. I will be nearby always. I will take form of a mortal and will near you and your mama. Sleep now my son, I have preparations to make.”

Placing the baby back on the bed next to his mate, the hooded figure lean down to place a kiss on the forehead of the pale slumbering boy. Casting a glare at the old man sleeping by the bedside the hooded figure then turn around and left the room.

“G, call off the search. I’ve found my son and mate no thanks to you.”

“My Lord that’s wonderful news. Forgives me for my incompetence but that father is a careful man. He hid themselves well and keeps to themselves. Are your servants to retrieve your son for you or did my liege return with you my lord.”

“G. HOW MANY TIMES MUST YOU BE REMINDED THAT MY MATE IS JUST AS IMPORTANT TO ME AS MY SON. DO NOT LOOK DOWN AT HIM OR YOU BETTER HOPE YOUR HEAD WILL STAY ON THAT SHOULDER OF YOURS. MY MATE IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU’’LL EVER KNOW” the hooded figure roar and a dark glow surrounded him.

“Forgive me my lord. I thought he was just a mere offering. A host for bring your son to this plane of existence. I will remember to treat him with respect.” G cowers before his master.

“Leave now before I decide to strike you down where you stand. Tell the acolytes to keep away from the area for the moment, I will personally attend to this”

With that G, quickly scurry away. The hooded figure then sat back on this throne

~Flashback~

“Oh Great Shinigami, your loyal servants present you with this gift to show our devotion and love for you. As prophesized this child, born of the blood moon will host and become the gateway for your heir to this plane.” G was kneeling in front of an altar where the opposite side sat a hooded figure on a black marble throne.

‘CRACK’ the gigantic door to the hall crack open. A group of four acolytes were hoisting up a figure above their heads spread eagle. The figure was struggling trying to break free. He was dressed in a gold trimmed red robe and gagged. The carriers gracefully carried the offering to the front of the hall then settle the boy on the altar.

Once set on the altar, the boy’s struggling immediately cease. There was a spell holding him in place.

The hooded figure rose from the throne and strode to the altar. He circled the altar examining the offering with interest. The boy had dark messy hair, which was covered by the red hood. Prussian blue eyes which held fear looking around wildly through the limited vision. The body was lithe and slight structure was well built that it was appealing. A recommendable offering worthy of a god.

“Acceptable” the black hooded figure then wave his hand to dismiss his worshipers.

A silent murmur broke out through the mass of people who were knelling before the altar as they retreated from the hall.

“We hope you will enjoy the gift my lord” G spoke out just before he step out and close the door before him.

Violet eyes hungry with lust took in the sight before it. The hands touch and wander all over the immobile boy. Slowly picking apart the red robe the boy was wearing revealing smooth and unmarred fair skin. The immobile boy’s eyes dilate with fear as the wandering hands boldly grasp this privates and starts to fondle it to attention. A slight whimper escape from the boy’s lips as his adolescent body reacted to the wandering hands of the hooded figure.

“Do not fear me boy. I will not harm you, on the contrary you will receive pleasure so heavenly you will feel as if death has claimed you. In a way I am death but I will just give you a little death.” the voice was surprisingly young.

Morning sunlight peeked in to the room, Odin was awaken by the chirping of birds and the light shining in through the window. Groggy at first, Odin was suddenly wide awake as he remember what happen the night before, quickly checking on his son, he let out a breath of relieved when he found Heero asleep peacefully and looked better than the night before. The hell-spawn was still there though to his annoyance. He will have to get rid of it some how without his son knowing.

Chapter 1

“Ahhhhh…. Father it hurts so much.” The child scream in pain.

“Hang on there my son it will be over soon” Odin’s heart clench with pain as he look on without being able to help his son in his condition.

His son was in labor bearing the seed of the devil himself. Odin tried to get rid of the spawn of the devil before this, time and time again but it survived. He will rid the world of this evil once and for all after the delivery; he could only hope his own son Heero would survive the birthing process. The devil spawn was tearing his son apart. No man was ever equipped to bear children but yet the devil chose his son.

Nine months ago his 15 year old son was kidnapped by the Shinigami Cult as an offering to the devil they worship. Odin and his son had been in hiding ever since his son’s birth because of a prophecy stating that a child born on the blood moon will bring forth Shinigami and bring with death with him. Heero’s mother had died at the birth due to the loss of blood and her poor health. Odin had sworn to her that he will protect and care for their son. He had fail that duty when he allowed Heero to be kidnapped by the Cult members. He manage to rescue his son but he was far too late. They had already violated his son’s innocence with a person possessed by Shinigami.

His precious cheerful child had become sullen and distant since the incident. Three months from the incident, Heero began to fell sick every morning and complain of stomach discomfort. By the forth month it become evident what was wrong. The devil had impregnated is son with an unholy creature and defy the laws of God and made a man carry a child. His son was in labor now and the situation does not look good. Heero is loosing a lot of blood and the devil’s spawn was tearing it’s way out of the unnatural womb in his son’s body. A passageway which man never have had appeared and dilated when it was time for Heero to deliver the baby.

They live far away from the village to keep away from prying eyes and to hide Heero’s condition and to evade the cult who were looking for Heero and the child his son carry. The sheets were drenched with blood and the stench was filling up the room, Heero’s cries of pain filled the room every time he tried to push to deliver the baby. They have no help, unable to find a doctor or a mid-wife to help Heero in fear of the consequences of divulging Heero’s condition. Odin could only make Heero as comfortable as possible and whisper words of comfort to his son.

“Ahhhhhhhh….Ughhhhhh…..”

“Wahhhhhh, waahhhhhhhhh, waaahhhhhhhh……………”

Odin quickly wrap the newborn child in a blanket and set it a side after cutting off the umbilical cord. The child looked human and normal in appearance but Odin knew it was a disguise. Heero was still loosing blood. He was so pale that Odin fear his son would not make it. Odin looked down at the baby with disgust, raising the dagger in his hand, Odin prepared to plunge it into the devil’s spawn to end it’s existence but was blinded and thrown back when the baby wail and a bright violet light envelopes the baby.

“Father, don’t hurt…. Please….” Heero weakly plead to Odin.

Heero still weakened from his condition drag his body with great effort to reach his child. The child stop crying at once when it felt his parent comforting touch and was lulled to sleep with his little hands grasping Heero’s finger. Heero exhausted from his effort had passed out next to his child.

After cleaning up all the blood and soiled sheets, Odin tuck his pale son back into the bed. The newborn child was sucking at Heero’s finger as if it was a tether. The baby had refused to be removed from his son grasping with unnatural strength on to Heero, with no choice Odin had to place the baby beside his son. Before passing out , Heero had plead with him to not harm the hell-spawn but as it is Odin could not hurt the child as there was a magical force protecting the baby. Heero was still very pale from the loss of blood but as time goes by color was returning, as if the baby’s power was healing his son.

Fitfully he fell asleep sitting by the bedside watching over his son.

“Have you found them yet, I can feel it. My mate has given birth to our son.” the hooded figure query.

“Not the yet My Lord, but your loyal servants have pinpoint the village which they are hiding now. It will only be a matter of time when we will bring back your child”

“And my mate. For your sake G, you better hurry.”
